High School Scholarships

Dynamic Urban Opportunities Foundation’s mission is to serve the community by enriching and improving the lives of under-represented people living in the region through focused programs in education, economics, the family, health, and the arts and to advance education among members of our diverse communities by providing scholarships, cultural, health, and educational activities, which address and support issues that impact families.

With the escalating costs of higher education and limited family resources in underrepresented communities, we have identified a persistent need to support women of color in the Puget Sound region, who seek to attend institutions of higher education. Accordingly, on an annual basis, DUOF provides scholarships to outstanding women of color who are graduating high school seniors from King and Snohomish Counties.

DUOF continues to expand its community presence by partnering with other philanthropic organizations to provide health education, lead initiatives that support families with limited financial resources, promote environmental awareness and improve the overall development of communities within the Puget Sound region. DUOF focuses on delivering “service to all mankind,” therefore, many DUOF members are active participants and leaders within prominent local and national non-profit organizations which directly impact our community.

DUOF is a wide-reaching, nonprofit organization, which secures additional resources from individuals, corporations, community organizations and other like-minded foundations to support its mission. Individual contributions enable DUOF to serve the Puget Sound community and regularly deliver programs and initiatives. Donations made to DUOF are tax deductible as allowed by the IRS.

The Delta Upsilon Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. endorses the work of DUOF by providing support for its continued growth and development, to carry out its mission. The members of Delta Upsilon Omega Sorority contribute financially to DUOF on an annual basis.
